#Assam: Major road mishap leaves 42 injured in Kokrajhar

In a horrific accident in Serfanguri in Kokrajhar, at least 42 passengers were injured when a passenger bus collided with a divider at Athiyabari on NH-31 (C) this morning.

While some of the injured were admitted at Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital, others were admitted at Dotma Primary Health Centre.

Some of the seriously injured passengers were referred to Barpeta Medical College & Hospital.

As per reports, the bus was heading from West Bengal to Guwahati when it lost control and hit a divider on national highway 31(C) at Serfanguri at 6 am today.

While the driver of the bus managed to flee from the scene, his helper, Shashadhar Roy, was seriously injured.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media, the passengers gave details about the accident.
