The Whiskey Crusaders review M. W. Heron's Southern Comfort 80 Spirt Whiskey which comes in at 80 proof. It is now called Southern Comfort Black for the current version. In 2016 it was bought by Sazerac and went back to the original recipe with is now a whisky base in 2017 with fruits and spices added. Essentially bourbon and peach schnapps added together. The 80 proof black version is darker, richer, and spicier with more whiskey in it than the 70 proof version.
