Facing the Senate on Tuesday (August 27), Shiela Guo, the sister of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo, detailed her version of their escape from the Philippines and their means of transport across three countries including Indonesia, where she was apprehended along with Cassandra Li Ong.

According to Shiela, she, Alice, and their brother Wesley were fetched by a van at their farm in Tarlac, rode boats and a fishing vessel to reach Malaysia, then traveled to Singapore via plane. There, they linked up with Ong. Wesley went ahead to Indonesia, Shiela said. Afterwards, she and Alice boarded a ferry to reach Indonesia.

Shiela claimed that she parted ways with Alice in Indonesia, and that she does not know of her sister's whereabouts. Shiela recalled that she and Ong were apprehended by Indonesian immigration authorities when they attempted to board a ferry again to return to Singapore.
