This video documents the celebration of the Day of the Dead in the village of Ihuatzio,in the state of Michoacan,Mexico. The video begins as villagers make last minute preperations in the cementary,then shows regional dances performed in the town square. After the dancing ends, people make there way to the cementary to spend the night with family & friends. Here they pay homage to deceased family members- at time solemn & reflective, but also at times celebrative & joyful. Gravesites are richly decorated with structures covered with Marigold Flowers, Fruit & candied skulls.
