Hi and welcome to this presentation of various trains and locomotives in action during a few days and nights in the Arthur's Pass village during June 2024.

Due to track work in the Arthur's Pass Railway yard during the day more trains passed through during the night when this presentation was filmed.

Various camera angles were covered around the Arthur's Pass railway yard from the Bealey River bridge to Rough Creek bridge and the Western and Eastern ends of the railway/station yard including shunting operations and the Ōtira tunnel banking locomotives in action helping coal and freight trains and the world famous Tranz Alpine passenger train heading east from Ōtira up the steeply graded Ōtira tunnel to Arthur's Pass station and returning light loco or attached to a west bound train on the run down to Ōtira station where the banker locomotives are based.
