Legendary playwright and lyricist Mbongeni Ngema is being laid to rest
today at a special provincial official category 2 funeral in Durban.

Ngema was killed in a car crash more than a week ago on his way to
Durban after attending a funeral in the Eastern Cape. He was 68.

On Wednesday, family, friends and the South African arts fraternity
gathered at the Durban Playhouse to celebrate his life in song and
dance.
