HOW TO: Attach training cord to a sturdy pole or fence at hip height. Slide hands into the paddle attachment and securely fasten. Step back so there is no slack in the cord and bend at the hips to just above 90 degrees. Keep a slight bend in your knees. Begin breaststroke pull with high elbows as you sweep resistance toward your chest. Round the corners of your pull as you get closer to your chest and then shoot your hands forward. This is one breaststroke pull. Continue to build stamina and strength!

WHY: The breaststroke pull is a really great exercise to strengthen your arms and upper back. By practicing your pull outside of the pool you are able to slow down your stroke and pay attention to technique more. Not only is it just an arm exercise but it targets the core as well! Avoid momentum reap the full benefits of this exercise.
