this vlog is episode 1 of our northern mindanao diy travel to celebrate my 25th birthday! 🤍 i’ve been dreaming of setting foot and exploring mindanao ever since. i’m so happy i get to finally do it! bonus pa since i got to experience it with my friends! 🤍 shoutout to Mikka and Pat! i’m forever thankful to have you both. hugs! 🤗

💭 tips & other thoughts:
* don’t ever leave cagayan de oro without trying river rafting! 🚣🏻‍♀️
* wear rashguard, leggings/long shorts, water sandals. there are only 2 schedules per day (since the course takes atleast 2.5 - 3 hrs) - 7:30 am and 12nn. i suggest you take the latter since the sun from 11am onwards is unbearable! this was also our guide’s note.
* bring sunblock, dry bag and even waterproof phone cases to help you document your rafting experience! you can also opt to avail the photo & video coverage from kagay for only 500 php per group.
* ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE! we were so scared to fall but when we survived our first rapid, the 13 remaining rapids became easier for us! enjoy the thrill and make sure to listen to your guide’s commands!
* try sinuglaw! the tuna + pork combination is chef’s kiss 😗🤌🏻
