Part 2 of 3
I'm quite fond of this pairing, and I've owned them for a number of years. They are soon to divorce though, as I am putting the G&L on the market.
The G&L ASAT Tribute is an excellent variation of the original T-style guitar design. I personally prefer the G&L over Leo's original tele style design. The Winfield Elizabeth is BlackFace style circuit. It is a 2 6V6 22watt amp with reverb, but it has a mids control (lacking in the BlackFace 6V6 amps) and no tremolo. I am running it with a 12AX7 V1 preamp in this series, but I actually prefer it with a 12AY7 (like the original BlackFace amps). The speaker is a 12" Celestion Greenback in an open back cab. The amp reverb is not on. A room reverb plugin was used instead.
