Padma Shri awardee Devendra Jhajharia is an Indian Paralympic javelin athlete competing in F46 events. He currently serves as the President of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI). Jhajharia is the first Indian Paralympian to win two gold medals, achieving this feat at the Athens and Rio Paralympics. With his third medal, a silver at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he has become India’s most decorated Paralympic athlete. In recognition of his exceptional achievements in sports, he has been honored with the Arjuna Award, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, and Padma Bhushan.
