Poem: when I grow up one day
Written by: D. A. Tressler
When i grow up one day,
Everyone's going to say,
'What are you going to be?'
I wonder, now let me see.
May be I'll be a teacher,
For everybody needs her;
But then i see her pile of books,
Too scary to me it looks!
Maybe I'll be a doctor,
Who helps make sick people better
But can I give an injection,
Or cure an infection?
Maybe a pilot I'll be,
And fly over the sea;
To fly you to the sun,
Would really be great fun.
Maybe I'll be a singer,
An actor,grocer, writer,
Or perhaps an engineer?
So many choices, Oh dear! Oh dear!
I think I'll now stop worrying,
And get down to some studying,
For no matter what I do become
It'll be after working out many a sum.
