Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance has blasted Kamala Harris and the Democrats for spewing “hatred” at Donald Trump.

Donald Trump will return to the site where a gunman attempted to assassinate him in Pennsylvania.

“First, they tried to silence him. When that didn’t work, they tried to bankrupt him,” Mr Vance said at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“When that didn’t work, they tried to jail him.

“With all the hatred they have spewed at President Trump, it was only a matter of time before someone tried to kill him.”
