Osteoporosis is the most common type of bone disease. This condition has become an important issue in people with a history of cancer due to factors such as toxic effects of chemotherapeutic agents on bone, prolonged use of glucocorticoids in certain cancer therapies, treatment-induced hypogonadism, and old age. Medicines for osteoporosis can lower your chance of breaking a bone. All the medicines in this video can prevent breaks in the small bones of the spine.
