🎶 Martela Bajore
The latest single from Elektroninės Sutartinės, our self-titled debut album!

Dive into a blend of Dub/Reggae and Drum 'n' Bass, infused with the rich traditions of Lithuanian Sutartinės—multi-part songs that celebrate our cultural heritage. This unique soundscape is brought to life in our music video, filmed on a rooftop in Open Gallery / Elfa territory.

"Martela Bajore" is a traditional Lithuanian wedding sutartinė (polyphonic song), transcribed in 1937 by the renowned ethnologist and folklorist Zenonas Slaviūnas. This song was sung for the bride upon her return from the church after the wedding ceremony, as part of ancient Lithuanian wedding customs.

Sutartinės (from the word sutarti meaning "to be in concordance") is a polyphonic music form performed by female singers in north-east Lithuania. Recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010, these songs are characterized by their simple melodies, distinct parts, and themes that resonate with daily life, rituals, and history.
