This video gives and overview of which sonar frequencies to use under certain conditions. Higher frequencies do not always perform the BEST!!! Video examples are done on a Garmin UHD 93SV with a GT52UHD transducer depending on your sonar unit and transducer performance and options may vary.

NOTE: The cone angle image was found on the Northwest Fishing Reports blog posting, calculations were not verified. Used as reference to show increasing coverage area as the cone angle increases.
