আজকাল মোবাইল ফোন থাকাটা আমাদের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। যদিও মানুষ মোবাইল ফোন ছাড়া প্রায় থাকতেই পারে না, কিন্তু ভারতে মোবাইল এসেছে বেশ দেরিতে আর সেটারও শুরু আমাদের পশ্চিমবঙ্গে। হ্যাঁ, ঠিকই আশ্চর্যজনকভাবে ভারতের মধ্যে প্রথম মোবাইল ফোন কলটি হয়েছিলো কোলকাতা থেকে এবং সেই সময় থেকেই শুরু হয় ভারত ও নোকিয়ার এক অভিন্নহৃদয় সম্পর্ক। ওই যেরকম বলে না জীবনের "প্রথম" কোনোকিছুই ভোলা যায় না; সেইরকমই ভারত কখনো নোকিয়াকে ভোলেনি। সেইজন্যই নোকিয়া ভারতে আবার একবার ফিরে আসতেও সক্ষম হয়েছে, কারণ এই সংস্থা জানে যে তারা এই দেশটার ওপর ভরসা রাখতে পারবে।
