Homeless and on opioid replacement therapy, Sharon a woman on the Streets in the City of Melbourne Australia, speaks of the loss of her parents, in and out of foster care & being ward of the State as a child. Not having anywhere stable like having the security of a family home, family and or permanent living as a child made Sharon turn to drugs to cope in her life growing up, resulting to dealing drugs to support her habit and being in prison as a result of it. Sharon has lost her brother to drug overdose & the other brother to Motor Neurone Disease (MND), her father was never there, her mother was always sick, she has lost her siblings, her relatives are distant and they do not speak with her, she does not keep in contact with them, and she doesn't know where they are, Sharon has no Family.
Growing up without a father and a mother that is always ill would be hard for anyone, child or adult. I asked Sharon if she was granted three wishes what would she wish for?
One of her wishes was to have her mother back in her life.

I want to explore and document these matters to raise awareness for the human beings sleeping on our city streets, sleeping in rough situations because of their circumstances.
We as a community should come together, I’m trying to build a team around me, to take this to the next step.

If you think its important to spread awareness for these topics, show support.

I acknowledge the traditional true land owners of this Country & pay respect for the elders and tribes of this land, past, present and emerging.
