This weeks Powerhouse Profile is none other than - Marwah Almugait.

Marwah is an adept cinema-photographer and creative artist that worked with Desert Rose Films on the Postpartum project, with Nancy Paton, the founder of DRF. They met in Saudi Arabia, where she is based, and collaborated with great enthusiasm through this film to deliver a message that they regard as critical to new mothers and the environments surrounding them.

Female empowerment is an essential component of healthy living and it can only be understood if people are willing to support each other and their journeys, and that is only the surface of what Marwah is about. Her photographs cultivate intimate portraits of stories, providing audiences with a confidential glimpse into private moments.

Marwah is an advocate for the development of cultural and artistic exchange and apprised several roles in her contribution to this sphere, recently through the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale for the Saudi and Gulf scene, an original work inspired from her time at her residency at Cité Des Arts in Paris, as well a richly diverse collection of visual art exhibited in collections such as I Love You Urgently, Epicenter, Safar, and much more. Her pieces portray complex messages broken down into art forms, from travel and exploration, culture and tradition, to poetry and alternative realities.
