Hey, everybody. This is the tenth and final part of my journey through Aqua's story of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. This game is set 10 years before the events of KHI and focuses on three young Keyblade wielders whose paths are manipulated by the cunning Master Xehanort to meet his own dark goals.

In this chapter, Aqua arrives at the Keyblade Graveyard, revealing to Terra what she knows. Terra explains what happened and Ven arrives shortly after explains what Master Xehanort has in mind for himself and Vanitas. Xehanort and Vanitas arrive and begin a battle for the ages. Ven is frozen solid by Xehanort and Aqua watches over him until Braig shows up, having lost his right eye at the hands of Terra in Radiant Garden. He fights Aqua as a distraction for Vanitas to get a cheap shot in. When Aqua comes to, likely thanks to Mickey's timely arrival, she discovers to her horror that Vanitas has taken control of Ven's body and mind, wielding the freshly-forged X-Blade. Aqua, desperate to have her friend back, fights Vanitas to free Ven from his control. After Aqua damages the X-Blade, Ven destroys Vanitas's heart and essence from the inside, leaving his own body comatose.

After the resulting explosion from the X-Blade's destruction, Aqua comes to at the Mysterious Tower where she learns of Ven's fate and decides to find Terra.
