For the East Coast leg, we opted in for a nightliner (tour bus) to make the travel easier for a traveling party of ten. We left early morning from Atlanta, GA after the Masquerade show and headed to Richmond, VA for a day off so our driver (Matt, fucking badass) could rest. Most of us hung out at or near the bus for the majority of the day. For day's off, in addition to the driver's room at a hotel, we get a 'day room' for the band and crew to shower, shit, rest, whatever.

Most of us had a Mexican food dinner at Amigos in Richmond. Deceptively strong margaritas were had by many.

The bus left late evening from Richmond for the hours long drive to NYC. Unfortunately though, our driver started to face issues with the coolant system on the bus. It was throwing warning after warning, and even after stopping to fill it up, he had enough concern that he opted to stop at a Prevost facility near New Brunswick, New Jersey.

This was kind of a huge bummer for us all as we had an unplanned wakeup call at just after 7am. Many of us had stayed up late, so this was...suboptimal at best. We persevered though, don't you worry.

After determining that a part wouldn't be available for hours, we opted to top that bitch off and head into the city, arriving around 10 or so. Interestingly, all of the band members' spouses tagged along for NYC, so many of us went our own way until soundcheck/load in. I know I did, heading down to our hotel in the financial district for a few hours.

Soundcheck was uneventful in the gorgeous club that is Webster Hall, and the show was awesome. Tower (awesome...) opened and Uniform (also fucking awesome) played right before Botch.

Shows at Webster Hall frequently have a strict curfew as they'll do a dance night after the bands play. Luckily, since we were playing two nights, we only had to move a small amount of things to make room for the DJ and get band and crew out of the club with little effort.
