Pastels are a perfect medium for painting outdoors. In this video I show my different plein air setups - from just a backpack with a board to best plein air systems for pastels which include pastel box, tripod and easel attachment. We can always start with less, make sure we love painting outdoors and upgrade our plein air gear for pastels later.
