Laura’s parents became Jehovah’s Witnesses when she was two years old. Her father moved up as a ministerial servant rather quickly. In this interview, Laura talks about the physical abuse she received from her father, the emotional abuse she received from her mother, and what the elders tell her when she goes and talks to them about it.

At 20, she got into a very abusive and possessive relationship with a man she stayed with for over a decade, who is still in the organization.
