At 8pm on August 6, 2020 a secret fireworks show was held at Chichibugahama Beach.

With Japan in a state of emergency and events cancelled throughout the country, the show was held without forewarning to prevent large crowds. Chichibugahama Beach, often referred to as 'The Uyuni Salt Flats of Japan' have become a popular tourist destination in recent years, and is maintained almost exclusively by local residents. Around 30 local companies assisted in the creation of this show as a display of gratitude for the locals' hard work and to give a boost to everyone's spirits in the face of ongoing uncertainty.
This video is presented with gratitude for all frontline workers and in the hope that the pandemic will end even just one day sooner than it otherwise might.
