Repair of Acorn A3010 motherboard that appeared dead and had suffered corrosion damage due to a leaking onboard battery.
Video shows summary of clean up of damage caused by battery acid, basic initial tests, cursory overview of trace repairs to battery damaged areas. I scope for clocks and reset, check the address bus and trace out broken connections. Finally, a brief power up and test. Also demonstrate a useful diagnostic tool for vintage Acorn computers.
Hopefully, there will be a part 2 detailing the rest of the restoration if I manage to obtain a case and etc.
Thanks to SparksUK and Gadget UK.
Good luck All!
