*I know there are a couple of words that are technically soft c words (i.e. ceff) but for the purpose of this video and the skill level readers are at blending CVC and digraph words, soft c isn't a skill that would be taught yet and students would be expected to make the traditional sound and that's why you'll hear me make the /k/ sound instead of the /s/ sound.*
