Justin Trudeau it seems is following NDP leader Jagmeet Singh's line. While some say it is an attempt to placate a miffed Singh after his party, the NDP withdrew support from the Trudeau government in September, others believe Trudeau wants to lure sikh votes away from the NDP by using India-Canada diplomatic row to position himself as a benefactor of Candian Sikhs.

The recent India-Canada row has resulted in India withdrawing 6 of its diplomats from Canada and expelling 6 Canadian diplomats. Geo-political experts think as Trudeau toes Jagmeet Singh's line Hindus in Canada may have a reason to worry about.
