Sudan's warring parties, which are engaged in a 17-month-long civil war, say they are open to re-engage in talks. Responding to Biden's statement, Sudan army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan said the government remains open to working with global partners to resolve the conflict peacefully. Following suit, Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo made similar remarks and reaffirmed his commitment to ceasefire negotiations.
