Geralyn & Kieran White guide us through a virtual tour of Ballysallagh House as part of the EU Historic House series (check out their channel for buildings across Europe). Such buildings are not just part of our built heritage, but an integral part of our history. It is no small commitment to restore and maintain such a building & such endeavours deserve recognition.

In 1987 the house was in a state of neglect when Geralyn & Kieran stepped in & set about restoring it carefully and authentically. In December 2020, Ballysallagh House was the winner of the inaugural O’Flynn Group Heritage Prize, an award devised to draw attention to the challenges faced by owners of historic properties in Ireland.
