Up for sale is a one owner from 1985-2022 1985 Toyota Sr5 4x4, 22RE truck. I made this video to help a potential buyer see the overall condition. My phone died while I was making this video so I will be making a part 2 video that begins where this one ended. I'll do my best to show the good and bad, inside and out of this truck because I really want it to go to a home that will appreciate it but I also feel it's important that the new owner knows exactly what they are getting. This truck was not restored. I bought this truck from a neighbor in July 2022. He bought the truck brand new in 1985 in Southern California. I thought it would be an amazing father son project to bring it back to life and teach my son how to wrench and repair a vehicle since he is 15 and will be driving soon. We will be using the money from this truck sale to buy his first truck (weird I know, he doesn't want this as a first truck). Over the past few months we have gone through the truck bringing it back to it's glory. I decided to get the truck to a point where the new buyer could see the original condition but we cleaned it up and got it running and driving too. I didn't want to get into excessively cleaning the trucks undercarriage and we didn't cover the undercarriage and other areas with paint to cover the original condition. I wanted someone to see exactly what 37 years of life in an Arizona dry climate looked like on this Toyota truck. If you decide to recoat the wheel wells, frame, axles etc in the future, you'll know exactly what was there before and not wonder what was covered up. I feel this is important to a lot of potential buyers. This truck is in no way perfect so if you're looking for a perfect running and restored Toyota truck this isn't for you. It has dings, dents, scrapes, and use but not abuse. With that being said it is still a very nice truck that I think any Toyota person could appreciate. I have driven this truck locally for the past 4 months and it drives very well but not perfect. It will easily run down the highway at 65 or 70mph and I imagine you should be able to drive it home from my house to wherever you live. The engine has no check engine lights or codes and I have left all the smog equipment on this truck but I can in no way guarantee it will pass smog (we don't have emissions/smog testing where I'm located) .
