Slideanide Canyon is one of the popular canyons in the Poison Springs area, about 1 hour north of Hanksville, UT. It is short, fun and very beautiful. Slideanide Canyon is a perfect place to practice downclimbing, chimneying, and partner-assists. This canyon also has a unique final rappel. Another interesting thing about this canyon is that for very experienced canyoneers, you can downclimb the entire thing. Although, the majority of us use at least 2 rappels.
