EXPLORING KALI MATA MANDIR and the ABANDONED JAIL of JASMERGARH FORT at HIRANAGAR, JAMMU. जम्मू प्रांत के हीरानगर किले की पुराणी जेल और काली माता मंदिर। जसमेरगढ़ किला की किले वाली माता का मंदिर।

In my previous video I explored Hiranagar Fort also called as Jasmergarh Fort. This Dogra Heritage is situated outside Hiranagar town in Kathua district in Jammu Province, J&K, India (भारत). This video is about Kali Mata Mandir & the abandoned prison within Jasmergarh Fort. This temple is also called as ‘Kile Wali Mata Mandir’ (किले वाली माता मंदिर). The Hiranagar Jail inside this fort was used to detain notorious terröri$t﹩ from Kashmir in 1991 & latter. It’s now an abandoned jail & I found it being used for keeping utensils & cookware by the temple organisers for ‘bhandara’ (बंडारा).

Presently I am on a weekend trip to Hiranagar from Jammu City. This is my eighth video of this series. In my previous video I travelled from Jammu City to Hiranagar in my car. On the way I visited Budhwani Talab & Jandi Bagh. Jandi Bagh is situated at village Bassi Jamwal in Hiranagar. It is a hidden Hindu holy place. There is a temple complex, several Bavlis (बावली, springs) and a pond that looks like a swimming pool 😀 😃. Water of Gupt Ganga (गुप्त गंगा) flows through this tank. There are also two temples of Guru Gorakhnath Ji & Baba Sehaj Nath Ji with their idols installed inside. One of them have the statues of Raja Balar Dev & Rani Chameli Ji, about whom I don’t know who they were. The place is nice for picnicking. It could be your next summer retreat if you like tranquil places. People from nearby areas come here to bathe and swim in the pool in summer.

As already mentioned I’m exploring ‘Qile Wali Mata Mandir’ inside Hiranagar Fort/Jasmergarh Fort in this video.
