Released in 1973 the XJ Series 2 was a face lifted version of the earlier Series 1 and was the last Jaguar saloon to have significant input from founder Sir William Lyons. This particular 1975 4.2 litre Australian delivered example presents very well. Finished in Regency Red with Biscuit leather trim, the car sits on a set of 16” Minilites which give it a purposeful stance. The interior is largely original, apart from the addition of a period correct moto-lita steering wheel and only adds to the allure of this classic 70’s icon. This example would make an excellent club car, she drives as good as she looks with the scope to improve or leave as is and enjoy that well-earned patina. Sir William Lyons would be proud, any test welcome.
