Flying from Grand Rapids to Charlotte, NC and back for a shoot. Logged a couple hours of actual IMC time on my first Instrument XC flight since passing my checkride. Hard? Yea. Easier than VFR? Also Yea!

Stopped at Bolton Field in Ohio for some fuel and BBQ, then landed Concorde, NC which is conveniently located immediately across from the race track we were shooting at. Flew home the next day and crossed a weather system with 1.5hrs of actual instrument time, precipitation and a leaky windshield. Then got some pie in West Virginia and finished the trip. Beat the airlines by a lot. Logged a lot of time. Had a blast.
