Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American writer, widely known as one of the greatest authors of the 20th century. Fitzgerald is considered a member of the Lost Generation of the 1920s. He wrote five novels and multiple short stories, many of which deal with youth and promise, age and despair.
