We planned a short adventure trip to Dandeli with our friends.
A small town in north Karnataka, this place is an incomparable mix of scenic beauty and adventure activities.
It offers white water river rafting, night camps, nature walks, boating, bird watching, tiger and crocodile spotting, and even trips to nearby caves.
We stayed at Pepper Paradise resort and explored this beautiful place and enjoyed water activities.
How to reach Dandeli: We took a train from Mumbai to Dharwad and from there we took a bus to Dandeli.
From Bangalore and Hyderabad, you can take a train to Hubli (56km) and then take a local bus or taxi from there.
By Road: KSRTC buses run from all major cities in Karnataka. You can also drive down from Goa.

Day 1: River rafter:Water activities are conducted in Ganeshgudi is 22kms from Dandeli main town near Supa Dam. There are few resorts here which provide water activity e.g, Bison Resort, Hornbil Resort, White water resort etc.
The charges for water activities are as follows:
1. White river rafting: INR 500/person for short (Duration 20-30 mins). Medium and long rafting are also available.
2. Kayaking: INR 250/person (Duration: 30mins)
3. Zipline: INR 350/person
4. Natural Jacuzzi: INR 200/person
5. Zorbing: 200/person

Day 2 Syntheri rocks
Syntheri Rocks, located at a distance of 25 km from Dandeli.
Syntheri Rocks are made of monolithic granite and have been carved into caves and crevices by the strong river current.
You need to either start early morning or late afternoon for a visit to Syntheri because it involves a considerable descent down many steps,
and then walking through the dense forests to the banks of river Kaneri, a small river that eventually merges into Kali River.
It is a great spot to just sit and see the sun rise or set behind the huge rocks and cliffs.

Day 3 Camping and Jungle walk at Pepper paradise.
Pepper paradise have both rooms and tents available.The resort is around 10 km from Daneli city.

we did an early morning jungle trek arranged by the resort. We walked into the dence jungle for around 1 hour and spotted wild animal and birds.
Then we returned to our resort Pepper paradise for camping. There are many indoor games and outdoor activities available in the resort.
In the evening you can enjoy the bonfire.The food was delicious and the owner Kartik is very helpful and approachable.
Note: There is no mobile network coverage on the location.Only BSNL network works here.you need use the resort wifi for connectivity.
