The goal of this tutorial is to teach you fundamentals about interior rendering with octane engine in Blender and make it easier for you try octane in general. I assume that you have at least basic skills with Blender, so I won´t explain all the details about manipulation with this great piece of software.

In this video, I play with a Blender scene prepared for Cycles by Martin Kováčik.

I’ll show you how to set all the settings, materials and ligting so when we finish the scene will be ready to render with Octane engine running in Blender.

In the beginning, I will show you all the necessary things you have to change in your settings, so you can work properly in Blender with Octane instead of Cycles.
We’ll take a look at the world settings and color management primarily.

Then, I will describe the way how materials are creating with Octane. Together we’ll prepare a few materials and jump right to the render settings.

And finally, after we bake our image, I’ll show you my way of doing post-processing in Blender compositor.
