An experimental android navigates the birth of consciousness and its relationship to humanity.

Originally created for RunwayML's Gen:48 Film Festival, over the course of 37.5 hours.

Creation Process: RunwayML's Gen2 was used to extend, evolve, provide motion elements, and add camera movements to several different static images (including both AI-generated and human-designed). Artificial Intelligence was the foundational topic of the story's thematic exploration of existentialism, consciousness, parenthood, control, and coexistence. AI-generated voice was used for the vocals of the alarm system during the final scene, while the two main voices are performed by professional actors to strengthen the thematic exploration of humanity's co-existence with AI technology. Entire film was upscaled to 4K quality using AI video-upgrade software.
