In this video I restore an old mechanical coin bank. The mechanism did not work. I disassembled the bank and then sand blasted the larger parts. The smaller hardware I let tumble in sand for 3 days and then heat blued them to protect from rust. Once the parts were stripped of the old paint I primed and painted them.

I found some coins inside, they were all liberty head nickels which is such a lucky find! I put them into a solution to remove the tarnish and this left them shiny and clean.
