I recently shot a roll of Kodak Colorplus 200 with my Olympus Trip 35 film camera. Street photography has long been a favourite genre of mine, although as you'll see that tends to lean more towards street portraiture.

With it's 40mm f2.8 lens and scale focus system, the Trip 35 probably isn't the best suited camera for this type of photography.

The main issue that I ran into was that I was often too close to my subjects and they were out of focus due to the camera's 1m minimum focus distance.

Basically I just needed to back off another 50cm or so, but because this was only my second role of film and I hadn't reviewed any of my photos taken with the Trip 35 beforehand, I didn't realise this at the time.

Having said that there are still a few images I'm really pleased with. 'Tumeric man' is probably my favourite from the day.

As always, thanks to my mate Adam for filming the video. We had a good laugh that morning as I'm sure you can tell.

Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next video, most likely of me sooting some Ilford XP2 black and white film with the Trip 35.
