Michael started playing ultimate during his sophomore year in high school at Radnor High School in Bryn Mawr, PA. He quickly developed his skills after playing at the Youth Club Championships for Philadelphia Forge Mixed and DEVYL Boys. Michael came to Pitt relatively unknown. He was only known by a couple of Pitt players including Trent Dillon. Michael quickly showed the team and country his abilities, evident by his Ohio Valley Freshman of the year award in 2016.

Over the next couple of years, Michael continued to grow and showcase his talents. He earned several USA Ultimate and Ultiworld accolades, including Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 (First Runner-Up) and Player of the Year in 2018 (Second Runner-Up). Michael has earned the respect of his opponents throughout his career, earning him a spot on the Ohio Valley All-Region 1st Team since 2017.

Beyond the college scene, Michael has showcased his talents on the Club and World stages. He has played for several Elite Club teams including Philadelphia Amp (3 years, 1 Championship) and Pittsburgh Temper (1 year). Additionally, Michael earned a spot on the USA U-24 Team twice, winning gold in 2018 & 2019. Recently, Michael earned a spot on the WUGC USA Team, an incredible feat for a College player.

At Pitt, Michael has been an incredible teammate and leader. He has been a captain for three years, a testament to his maturity, leadership, and drive. Off the field, Michael has helped lead the charge for gender equity on the Men's side of the Pitt program, focuses on inclusivity for his teammates and others, and is one of the most respectful and nice people we have ever had the privilege of knowing.
