Swollen lymph nodes or adenopathies are due to a reaction to an external aggressor. Lymph nodes are filters of the lymphatic vessel system where lymph is analyzed for defensive reasons. This may be due to benign causes, but in a small percentage of cases it may be due to some serious process. Here I analyze the signs and symptoms of alarm.
