Discover a Home Merging Nature and Architecture in Mérida
The house in Mérida was built on a former parking lot, combining modern architecture with traditional Maya culture. The house is divided into three main volumes with four inner courtyards, allowing natural ventilation and optimizing space. Traditional materials like chukum and Tzalam wood are used, along with inspiration from the arched architecture of Uxmal’s Governor's Palace. Vegetation plays a crucial role in the design, providing privacy and shielding the glass from the strong tropical sun.
