If you look at San Diego's Presidio Park on Google Maps, you may notice a building listed as the "Witches Tower." With its sinister sounding name, and a number of urban legends surrounding it, we visit the Witches Tower, look around, and talk about its real, fairly innocent history. We also talk about why the real history of Presidio Park, site of the first European settlement in California, is so much more interesting itself.

Presidio Park, aside from being home to the so-called Witches Tower, was also the start of El Camino Real auto route, which wound its way up California following the missions, and was famous for its bells.
