The Heiko Trail is a classic and popular through-hike near Fernie, BC. I wanted to experience this journey including the summit of Three Sisters and an overnight in the backcountry. I tweaked the itinerary a bit to avoid the final section into Island Lake area. Instead I wanted to find and hike the real Mt. Fernie and exit at the town of Fernie (to shorten the return journey to the car by bike).
