July-August is not the time to visit Nandi Hills for sure. We, Mr. & Mrs. on the move !!! started at 4:30 am from Electronic City, Bangalore. Do keep in mind the gates open at 6:00 am, so try to reach as early as possible if you don't want a jam packed traffic crawling through the twisted roads from the check post. But unfortunately you might have to wait at the entry point if you are too early.
