We have an old whiskey barrel trash can that we've used for a decade for both daily kitchen duties as well as occasional huge parties. The barrel has seen better days and was desperately in need of an upgrade, restoration, refurbishment, or rebuild. Whatever you want to call it we completely disassembled the barrel, cleaned, sanded, and stained it, and then put it back together. The resulting trash can barrel is an order of magnitude nicer than what we had before, and we only spent $20 to do it!
