Collide 4 is based on a lock-in amplifier, a piece of test equipment used in nuclear and other physics research. Why? This video explains how the architecture is particularly well suited for audio processing and synthesis. There are several patch examples on how to use parts of the module separately, and a final one where everything comes together.
