ती आली… तिने पाहिलं… ती लढली आणि ती स्वत:च्या पायावर उभी राहिली. पंडीत पंढरीनाथ कोल्हापुरेंची नात, शिवांगी कोल्हापूरे आणि शक्ती कपूर यांची मुलगी, पद्मिनी कोल्हापूरे यांची भाची एवढ्यापुरतंच मर्यादित न राहता तिने बॉलिवूडमध्ये स्वत:चं स्वतंत्र स्थान निर्माण केलं. 'आशिकी 2' मधल्या 'आरोही'नं प्रेमाची वेगळीच व्याख्या रसिकांसमोर ठेवली, 'एक व्हिलन'मधली 'आयेशा' हूरहूर लावून गेली तर 'स्त्री' मधल्या नाव नसलेल्या भूमिकेनं तिला सिनेविश्वात नवी ओळख मिळवून दिली. आज दोन डझनाहून अधिक सिनेमे तिच्या नावावर आहेत. आई वडिलांकडून श्रद्धाला अभिनयाचा समृद्ध वारसा मिळाला असला तरी, आजोबांचं गाणंही तिनं आपलसं केलं आहे. अभिनय ही तिची पॅशन असली तरी गाणं हे तिचं प्रेम आहे. कोल्हापुरेंचे मराठी संस्कार जपत, कपूरांच्या घरची ही मराठमोळी लेक हिंदी सिनेसृष्ट्रीत स्वत:चा ठसा उमटवते आहे. तिच्या या प्रयत्नांसाठी आणि आजवरच्या योगदानासाठी एबीपी माझा ‘माझा सन्मान’ पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आलं.
