Old Draw Knife Restoration.In this video im going to restore a rusty draw knife , this tool has been dormant for a long time , now it s time to make it nice and usable again .
This time i used electrolysis process to remove rust because i have just one piece , it too easy , i like this process (i don't know why :) ...
There was a lot of brushing sanding and polishing , which gave a satisfactory result to some extent , the steel was too rusty to get the perfect result.
I got the handles from a carpenter's friend, made of beech wood ,it s really a very good wood ..
This restoration take 20 scattered hours over 3 days out of 4 hours of editing .
