Let's explore the palace where Sri Krishnadevaraya used to live during his ruling at Hampi.
Due to the attack of Bahumani Sultan in the past, the spectacular palace constructed with sandalwood got destroyed into ashes. And as a result, now we can only find the base level remnants and plunders which are left out.

In 1336 AD, brave and royal brothers Hakka and Bukka established Vijayanagara Empire with Guru Vidyaaranya’s blessings. Whereas, Sri Krishnadevaraya had ruled Vijayanagara Empire with his brave, able, and authoritative ruling which can be royally engraved in the extravagant history of India.
Famous foreign tourist Domingo Paes says that the extravagance of Vijayanagara dynasty was such that he had seen more than a lakh bungalows, along with millions of brave male soldiers, even thousands of lady soldiers who were well versed in both cooking skills as well as combat skills in army.
He also tells that one can’t compare any other dynasty with Vijayanagara dynasty in terms of the luxuries, support towards literature, arts and cultural heritage, rich cultural monuments like temples, luxurious palaces made of sandalwood, etc.
By looking at the abundance of diamonds, pearls, solitaires and other ornaments, he could not find words to describe the luxurious lives which Viajayanagara dynasty’s citizens they were leading.
